Owen is off his training wheels. Not 100% confident in his riding yet - but what a difference from Monday morning! And I can only imagine how good he will be at the end of the week after finishing bike camp.
It is a bizarre feeling every time he meets a big developmental milestone. I'm proud that he is learning to ride his bike - despite being a bit reluctant to do it; yet at the same time it makes me feel a bit sad... he's not so little anymore.
That was made glaringly obvious the day Owen came home from staying at my brother's place when Alex was born. Nick and I had spent the first day and night alone with our tiny little baby. Owen came running in to meet his baby sister and he looked HUGE!! His eyes and ears seemed so big. It was as though he had doubled in size in the day he had been away.
And last week we put away his car seat and set him up in a booster seat. He finally hit that magic 40 pound mark.
Slow down Owen... I'm not ready for you to be growing up so fast.
