World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated every year to improve the health of the most vulnerable babies in the world.
The WHO launched the week by stating that teaching new mothers how to breastfeed could save 1.3 million children's lives every year, but many women get no help and give up trying. Only 40 percent of children are breastfed to 6 months, as they recommend. See more details here.
