What do I do with this Baby?

I looked at Alex this morning and asked her "What would you like to do? Ride your bike? Draw a picture? Make a puzzle?". She looked up at me with those sweet eyes, her little arms and legs waving madly about as they always seem to do, and then became fixated on my moving hand. Hmmm... I guess that's what we'll do then.

I'm finding it really hard to remember what to do with a baby all day. Owen, who is now 4.5, is so interactive and so easy to entertain. Clearly there must have been a time when he too was just a wiggly thing that lay on his back and stared at you. What did I do with him all day? My mommy brain has completely forgotten.

Fortunately, Alex seems content to be carried about doing whatever I want to do, and I guess that's what I must have done with Owen. But for those times when I feel I should be more entertaining, I have found GamesWithBaby.com. It has some good ideas broken down by age and activity type. Many of the activities are things you have probably already thought of but there are some interesting new ideas too.
