As a follow up to my earlier post this week about my challenge with recent reports that co-sleeping was the biggest risk factor in SIDS, the researcher has come forward to clarify the results.
He says:
"Parents who sleep with their baby in their bed are not risking a cot death unless they smoke, drink or take drugs".
He also said he felt "quite uncomfortable" over reports of a study published this week that had misinterpreted the finding.
Exactly my point. It is dangerous to make decisions based on research data as reported in the media.
